MAKE A CHANGE BY APPLYING YOUR EDITING SKILLS!
Charity Entrepreneurship, a London-based incubator for high-impact charities, is seeking a volunteer copy editor to assist with proofing and editing content for our research reports, website, and social media channels.
About Charity Entrepreneurship
The best charities in the world have a huge impact. Our organization conducts research to identify the most promising potential charitable interventions, then runs a summer training program that incubates around five evidence-based charities per year. Our 2020 focus areas included animal advocacy, health policy, mental health, and family planning. See an update about our 2020 charity ideas here.
How you will make a difference
Strong communications are essential to Charity Entrepreneurship’s work. Thanks to your copyediting skills, our research and content will reach a broader audience, the incubation program will secure additional strategic partnerships, and ultimately, more high-quality entrepreneurs will found charities.
About the role
Charity Entrepreneurship produces a lot of written content – both direct research and meta EA posts, as well as smaller writing pieces for our blog. This content generally requires significant improvements to style and grammar, and occasionally rewrites. For some of our team members, English is not their first language, and one member of our team has a form of dyslexia.
Tasks will include proofreading and editing Charity Entrepreneurship’s research reports, EA forum posts, and blog posts. If you have a specific area of interest (e.g. animal advocacy), we will do our best to accommodate your preferences in what we assign.
