The 2020 Incubation Program Will Be Held Online! Prioritizing Safety During COVID-19 PANdemic4/8/2020 For the safety of participants and to support the effort to contain COVID-19, Charity Entrepreneurship has decided to hold our 2020 Incubation Program remotely (as an online program) from June 29 to August 28. We’ve also extended the deadline for applications till April 21. We’ve been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic situation and following official recommendations and predictions. We came to the conclusion that, to effectively run the program this year and to mitigate unnecessary risk to participants’ health and well-being, the best decision we can make is to hold the program remotely.
We are currently redesigning the curriculum to make it fully remote-compatible. Much of the project-based work happens in pairs, which translates well into the online world. As you have seen on our blog, the core content of the program will be published in a freely available online handbook, so we are ready for this next step. We are confident in the value of the online course: it will help you find a strong co-founder, provide training and feedback on starting a charity from scratch, and allow you to apply for our seed funding (up to $100,000 per co-founding team). Running an online program has been on our idea list for a while, so we are thrilled to run it with you and might well continue with this format in 2021. In the coming weeks, we will keep you informed about any updates to the program content and form. Meanwhile, if you have any questions, please contact us at: ula@charityscience.com
